Incident Investigation
This course is designed to help appointed reps to investigate accidents also helps to Identify root causes and prevent future occurrences. They will be confident to gather information for workplace safety, health, and environmental incident investigations. Its also encourages learners to conduct post-investigation activities.
- Describe the requirements for conducting preliminary investigations into Health, Safety and Environmental incidents;
- Select approaches to investigations appropriate for specified contexts;
- Gather data for preliminary investigations that is accurate; and
- Record and report data accurately and as specified.
Any person assigned to conduct incidents investigation in the workplace i.e. Managers, Supervisors and SHE Reps.
At the end of the course, the learner will be able to describe:
- Investigate accidents to Identify root causes and prevent future occurrences
- Gather information for workplace safety, health, and environment incident investigations
- Conduct post-investigation activities
- Explain the specified requirements to conduct safety, health and environmental representation activities at a working place
- Address safety, health, and environment-related issues within the scope of authority
- Comply with the activities within safety, health and environmental structures
